The Play of Being

An exhibition exploring the importance of play and the ways we cultivate the sense of safety needed to engage in it authentically, shaped by the people, spaces, and practices that surround us.

Through a new series of works, illustrator Megan St Clair reflects on the power of spaces that feel like home — whether a physical location, a community, a person, or a personal practice. The exhibition invites audiences to reflect, engage, and share in the joy of play through illustration and community-led moments.

Megan’s intuitive and playful approach to illustration is characterised by vibrant colour and rich texture. Her work spans global commercial projects and has been commissioned by clients including Estée Lauder, John Lewis, Bucherer, and Vogue.
